Course Overview
The Knowledge Management course sets knowledge management in the business sector within a framework of knowledge sharing, creation and re-use. Since wealth is being demonstrably and increasingly generated from knowledge and intangible assests this course considers that innovation is key to competitiveness and depends on the dynamic process of knowledge creation and application.. Participants reflect on the strategic importance of developing knowledge management capabilities, the difference between information management and knowledge management, key theoretical concepts including explicit and tacit knowledge, organisational memory, organisational knowledge types and measurements for action.
