If anything can make the world a better place then creativity can. It is the essence of innovation, its spirit is what makes adaptability possible for the organization and the individual.
That is all fine-and-well, but:
In this month’s Dialogue Circle we aim to explore these questions in a way that will tap into the group’s collective knowledge, experience and creativity.
One definition of creativity calls it ‘the pursuit, recognition and development of new relationships between previously un- or differently-related elements towards satisfying constructive intent.’
Instead of a dry, old-school lecture we will explore what knowledge and insight emerges from interaction amongst participants by borrowing a few techniques from the coaching modalities of ‘clean-language’ and ‘symbolic-modelling’. The session will include constructing a collective ‘virtual metaphor landscape’ through which to investigate what we might be able to learn from our understanding and experience in these areas, to make new discoveries and connections.

About Creativity, Leadership and Authenticity
…in a world increasingly filled with deliberately and sensationally staged experiences — an increasingly unreal world — consumers choose to buy or not buy based on how real they perceive an offering to be. Business today, therefore, is all about being real. Original. Genuine. Sincere. Authentic.

(Harvard Business Online Publication)
Self-awareness is one of the big keys. If you read a lot of the psychology literature on creativity, one of the only real, solid correlations with being able to shift your creative output is the belief that you can change it.
- Ze Frank (Interview)
Creativity, as has been said, consists largely of rearranging what we know in order to find out what we do not know. Hence, to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted.

Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.
