Message from Regenesys Management
In this month’s newsletter we talk to you about Coaching and Mentoring as an approach to keep your staff motivated, productive and efficient. We also invite you to the Regenesys Dialogue Circles which provide a forum where managers and leaders can freely discuss the current workplace challenges and possible solutions to some of the unique problems we are facing today. If that is not enough then join us on 11 September 2008 to hear what Judy Nwokedi has to say from a leadership and business engineering perspective and read what Prof Adam Habib had to say about the socio-political state of South Africa.
It is the 8th month into 2008 and instead of things improving around us the news remains gloomy. Interest rates are increasing, houses and cars continue to be repossessed and if that is not enough to cope with, the ANC is in political turmoil with two Premiers being asked to vacate their positions. In addition to this, Cosatu is again embarking on a massive strike action on Wednesday 6 August to demand more food items to be added to the zero-rated foodlist. Companies across the country are again bracing themselves for another day of losses.
As the bottom line shrinks and people are learning the true meaning of the word “budget”, managers and leaders are forced to come up with creative and inspiring ways to keep their workforce motivated to capitalise on whatever opportunities there may be. In the public sector service delivery is at the centre of discussions as the country prepares itself for the 2009 general elections.
The good news though is that everything comes in cycles and one sure thing is that this cycle will also come to an end. The question though is: when and who will still be around to witness it? I want to invite you to take the time to read through this newsletter, to take up the offerings and join us at our public forums to share your experiences, problems and solutions as we near the completion of the first decade of the 21st Century.
