Course Overview

Stakeholder management is critical to the success of a project or initiative in any organisation. Successful people engage the right people in the right way, winning their support and gaining power by forging strong stakeholder relationships.  This programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills to identify, analyse and prioritise stakeholders in accordance with their importance and influence. The programme explores strategies and tactics for engagement with stakeholders, which are absolute necessities for success and sustainability of individual and organisational endeavours.

• Identify key stakeholders and analyse their needs, interests and sources of power
• Describe power, sources of power, power struggles and politics
• Evaluate and prioritise stakeholders in relation to their importance, influence and power
• Design a strategy for engagement with stakeholders and forging strong stakeholder relationships
• Apply effective negotiation and communication techniques to manage stakeholders proactively
• Gain understanding of critical success and failure factors of stakeholder management
