we would like to see the department of Education visiting high schools and explaining to student about the NASFAS loan and busaries available. the number of matriculates who are not able to further their studies is getting increased year-on-year. I am currently the Gauteng provincial treasurer of BMFsc Black Management Forum Stusent Chapter, we would like to visit high school and tell them about university life style, but due to finances we are not able to do that.
And the NASFAS system Must be changed because by the time you start working your loan is three times what you used for your education.
I am not saying Let the be FREE Education But let it be reasonable.
Good work from the department. this will help many people out there who want to further more their studies.
Its nice to see such initiatives from the department.
A comprehensive explanation of study funding and bursaries is available at southafrica.info web site here. You may also find some useful information on the following sites which are recomended by the Department of Education:
no comment because the overall performance that i have seen is empowering and also in good shape so i am quite pleased with everything thanks very much,i wish i could be given a chance to be part of the organisation
It is nice to see that the Department does offer bursaries and that some people do get it.What frustrates me though is that so many empty promises are made to learners, to study for free when choosing Educational Sciences. To thruth is that me and so many of my fellow first years cannot get a bursaries. We really want to become teachers and we enjoy what we do but the harsh reality is that some of us might not come back for our 3rd year.Simply because we cannot get bursaries. And that just makes what we truly enjoy studying, very unpleasant.
As a varsity student I really think the department is doing a great job by giving bursaries and loans to student to study further and to reach their dreams and apart from all their destiny,on the behalf of all tertiary level students I would like to thank you for your generosity.
this is brilliant people are unable to further their studies but have lots of talent you are really our hope
